Kent elementary school is hosting the next Ready, Set, Learn Fair, on Friday, Feb. 28.

The event runs from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is open to all parents and their pre-kindergarten children. There will be information booths and the local kindergarten teachers will be on hand to meet with, as well as play stations for the little ones, snacks and take home bags.

Visitors will also receive the new pre-kindergarten milestone activity book, produced through the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre with help from numerous local partnerships.

The fun and colourful book is a handy resource guide for parents of young children, offering ideas to help encourage fine and gross motor skills, language skills, cognitive learning, problem solving, and self help.

The book is intended to provide growth and development activities for children ages four and five, and are meant only as a general guideline for growth.
