For the Observer

Rushing Rivers 4H Club just held our Annual Public Speaking Night. We didn't have as many members presenting speeches as we hoped, because of people going on holidays for Spring Break.

We would like to thank Leonne and Tim for judging our speeches. There was one Junior member (ages 9-12), one Clover Bud member (ages 6-8), and three Senior  members (ages 13-19) presenting speeches.

In Clover Buds, Marcus was first. In Juniors, Jacinta was first. And in Seniors, Jessica was third, Matthew was second, and Morgan was first. Morgan, Matthew, and Jacinta will be going onto compete at the Chilliwack District Competition.

Marcus will not be able to compete at District Level until he becomes a Junior. Our judges gave us some good advice to improve our speeches. We also had a fun meeting and training night. Our club looks forward to the training nights very much. Public Speaking is a very good skill to have throughout one's whole life.  We had a fun speech night and we are looking forward to the speech nights to come.
