Hilary Monro captured this moment of a female rufous hummingbird pausing for a sip of nectar. According to the National Audubon Society, rufous hummingbirds are known for chasing away other birds from their patch of flowers and nest farther north than any other hummingbird, up as far as south-central Alaska.
