Locals who enjoyed the shelter of a Falling for Vermont set prop over the summer were sad to see it disappear this month.

The gazebo in Pioneer Park had become a popular spot for park-goers who wanted to escape the sun or rain but the District of Kent has removed the charming pine structure.

Fortunately, it won’t be gone for long, says Jennifer Thornton of community, recreation and park services.

“Council is still going to find it a location,” Thornton said. “And probably have it back up once the winter is over.”

She said that because the prop was created for filming production, it wasn’t built with public use in mind.

“Our public works [will] properly put it back together so it’s structurally sound for public use. Until that all takes place, we just wanted to make sure it was secured and stored over the winter.”
