Pop art on roadside in Lake Errock
Mr. Bill was just one of many artists and gardeners who opened both their homes and their hearts for the ACES Art and Garden Tour last Saturday.
Mr. Bill's larger than life paintings of pop icons are well known to those who regularly drive by his home on the Lougheed Hwy. near Lake Errock. A graphic designer by trade, he began painting as a sort of therapy after being run over by a truck 25 years ago.
He and many more artists were part of the garden tour, which participants could freely visit as they pleased. They varied from full art studios to serene gardens, around the small lake and throughout Harrison Mills.
The tour ended with a tea at the Woodside Gallery on Mt. Woodside. The annual tour is a fundraiser for ACES, a group dedicated to "joyfully serve by stewarding Mother Earth, protecting our inherent rights and creating a life that promotes the well-being of all."
