Lions Den: Saturday brings a new “Queen of the Slough”

The new Miss Maria Slough will be crowned amid gales of laughter at the Ag hall on Saturday night. The Lions have outdone themselves, as usual, arranging all the necessary details to make the night a most memorable one.

Entrants have been prepped, prodded and pampered. And the list includes some of our finest Agassiz gentlemen brave enough to dare to wear a dress for a good cause. There will be a few surprises for sure!

A multitude of raffle baskets have been made and wrapped. The “Know Your Town” silent auction tree has been filled. Other auction items have been polished, ready to set out for your bidding. Many thanks to all our donors and sponsors for their ongoing support of our community fundraising efforts now and through the years. We could not do it without you.

All in all the Lions have done a great job creating the best party where the new Miss Maria Slough will be crowned. See you there this Saturday, April 26, happy hour at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m.
