RCMP uniform used in ATM robbery attempt
A pair of would-be thieves, one of them dressed as an RCMP officer, tried to remove an ATM machine from a Chilliwack gas station last Friday.
But the machine was bolted to the floor, so the two men had to leave the Shell station on Eagle Landing Parkway empty-handed.
But the van used by the pair was described to the RCMP, who located and found one of the attempted robbery suspects inside.
The second suspect is still being sought.
Marc Joseph Cadieux, 41, of Chilliwack, has been charged with impersonating an officer, break-and-enter and other related charges.
The second suspect is described as a white male, about 45 years old, 5'6" to 6 feet tall, with a slender build and short brown hair.
The RCMP uniform is now in police hands, and an investigation continues into how it came into the possession of the suspects.
