Police presence increased for summer

The Agassiz Harrison RCMP are getting ready for another busy summer season. Sgt. Stuart Falebrinza said that over the last few weeks, their file count has started to go up. To stay on top of things, they have started to increase patrols for the summer season.

"There will be an increased police presence around the communities during the summer months with the main goal being that we want everybody from the public to enjoy our communities and wilderness around us," Falebrinza said.

Over the last week there has also been a couple of thefts from vehicle.

On April 28, the Agassiz RCMP received a complaint about a theft from unlocked vehicle onĀ Esplanade Avenue in Harrison. Some personal items were stolen.

On May 3, they received a complaint about a theft from an unlocked vehicle that was parked on Pioneer Avenue. Some personal belongings were stolen.

Sgt. Falebrinza from the Agassiz RCMP would like to remind everybody ensure that they lock their vehicles.
