Popkum-Bridal Falls updates OCP

An update to the Popkum-Bridal Falls (Electoral Area ā€œDā€) Official Community Plan is underway in the Fraser Valley Regional District. The existing OCP was last updated 16 years ago. A new OCP will update the policies to address development trends, services and values of a growing and changing community.

To begin the discussion and generate ideas for the future of Popkum-Bridal Falls, FVRD Director Bill Dickey is inviting all landowners and interested individuals to participate in the upcoming public events or share their ideas via an online survey, found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/V2JCGQM

There will also be a table with information about the OCP at the Cheam Lake Wetlands Parks Day, July 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the wetlands. That day will also feature free guided nature walks, crafts and wildlife activities.

A community plan meeting is being held July 29 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Bridal Falls Camperland Clubhouse.

Interested individuals can contact the Fraser Valley Regional District at 1-800-528-0061 for further information, or visit www.fvrd.bc.ca.
