Prison staff finds packages of meth with help of dog team

Several packages of meth have been seized at Kent Institution in Agassiz.

On Dec. 4, staff members intercepted packages containing the contraband.

Institution officials said the seizure is the result of the combined efforts of correctional officers and the detector dog team. The contraband seized included methamphetamine and 2,5-Dimethoxy-4-methylamphetamine. The total institutional value of this seizure is estimated at $12,500.
