Kent Harrison Search and Rescue volunteers were called out to assist B.C. Ambulance with an injured male Saturday evening, after the man suffered a serious injury after falling on rocks in Bear Creek, 15 km up the Harrison East Forest Service Road.

KHSAR members evacuated the man out of the creek by stretcher and carried him to a medi-vac helicopter waiting on the lakeshore at the Bear Creek Campsite.

Even though water levels are dropping in many creeks and streams, KHSAR says, they still pose a hazard due to slippery and unstable conditions.
