Kent Harrison Search and Rescue (KHSAR) volunteers were kept busy over the B.C. Day long weekend.

Early Saturday evening, KHSAR volunteers responded to an incident on the Harrison East Forest Service Road where a vehicle rolled 15 metres down a bank. A female with minor injuries was evacuated by stretcher to a waiting ambulance using a rope system.

Early Sunday morning, team members began searching for two missing hikers who were overdue from a descent of Mount Breakenridge. They were eventually located at the shoreline of Harrison Lake in good condition.

KHSAR recommends that those who use the backcountry carry beacons (SPOT, In-Reach etc.) that can inform family and searchers in case of emergency.
