A traffic stop on Highway 1 in Chilliwack led Mounties to discovering 98 pounds of suspected marijuana and cash Wednesday.

A driver was pulled over for wearing large headphones while travelling 25 km/hr under the speed limit, police said in a press release.

The officer had reason to believe there was “indications of drug trafficking” and executed a search of the vehicle.

Police found what they suspect to be marijuana, packed in duffel bags, and about $1,700 in cash.

The suspected drugs and cash were seized and the driver was released from the scene, pending further investigation.
