OGILVIE
Allen J. Ogilvie went home to be with Jesus, his Lord the evening of January 14, 2007 at the Chilliwack General Hospital. He died following complications of surgery to repair a broken hip. Allen was born on April 22, 1917, in New Westminster, BC.
A celebration of his life will be held on January 18, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Agassiz Christian Reformed Church, 7452 Morrow Road in Agassiz. Pastor Rudy Ouwehand will be officiating. Tea to follow. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Alzheimer Society.
Allen is survived by, his two daughters - Joanne (Olie) Nielson, Sharon (Keith) Playfair, his three step-sons Ron (Joan) Tancock, Randy (Corinne) Tancock, Barry (Connie) Tancock, 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife - Dorrie Ogilvie in 1972 and by his second wife Audrey Ogilvie who recently passed away on December 30, 2006.
Allen Ogilvie was a gentle giant, who was a loving and caring husband and proud of his children and grandchildren. He was steadfast in his faith and full of integrity. His calm and gentle nature is a beautiful legacy for us to follow.
