BOUREL, Dorothy
It is with great sadness that we
announce the passing of our Mother and Grandmother Dorothy Bourel. Dorothy passed away suddenly on March 29, 2005 at the age of 78, one month shy of her 79th birthday. She was born April 26, 1926 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and moved to the Agassiz area at the age of 16. She worked in the laundry at the
Harrison Hotel for many years where she met her late husband, Anthony Bourel. They were married in 1949 and had two sons, Brad and Rod. Tony passed away suddenly in 1971 and Dorothy never really recovered from the loss of the love of her life. Brad married Karen (Forde) in 1979 and they had three children, Jim, Katie and Tony. In 1989 Rod married Cheryl (Price) and they had one
daughter, Larisa. The grandchildren brought much joy to Dorothy's life and they will all miss her terribly. She is
fondly remembered by all her friends for her love of life and talk! She really
enjoyed visiting with her friends and hearing the latest news in all their lives! Gardening was another passion of hers as could be seen by looking at the many flowers and plants she had in her yard and house. A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 2, 2005 at
Henderson's Funeral Home. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, in her name, would be appreciated
if friends so desire.
