1928 - 2016
She was our angel here on earth. The sweetest soul we've ever known.
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Dorothy Ada Clegg (nee Kroll) at the age of 87. She is predeceased by husband Ted Clegg, beloved son Gregory, brother Norman and sister Violet. She is survived by her brother Arthur, daughters Janice and Denise, granddaughters Christy and Leigh and great-grandchildren Kelsey, Matthew and Dyllan.
Her wishes were to: "Give my sight to a man who has never seen a sunrise. Give my heart to a person whose own has caused endless pain. Give my blood to an injured teen so that he might live to see his grandchildren play. Give my kidneys to one who depends on a machine to exist. Take my bone, every muscle, every fibre and nerve in my body and find a way to make a crippled child walk. Explore ever corner of my brain. Take my cells and let them grow so that someday a boy will shout at the crack of a bat and a deaf girl will hear the sound of rain against her windows.
Burn what is left of me and scatter the ashes to the winds to help the flowers grow. Give my soul to God.
