He left home at an early age, going to work in the logging industry in Northern Alberta. He came to B.C. in 1949 and went to work in the logging camp at Harrison Lake. From there he continued to work for various logging companies over the next forty years.

In 1951, he met Frozena, his wife of 53 years, at the Agassiz Hopyard. In 1954 they were married in Agassiz where they continued to live until his passing.

Dad is survived by his sister Esther Cross, the last surviving sibling, sisters-in-law Vera and Dianne and numerous nieces and nephews, and special niece, Sherry.

Dad was an avid fisherman and hunter. He will be well remembered as a gardener extraordinaire and prided himself with his immaculate garden and park-like yard. He also enjoyed making wine and beer during his retirement years.

He lived a simple life with few wants and no extravagances. He was most content being surrounded by his family and home.

No service will be held, at his request. A family memorial will be held at a later date.
