It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Slusarchuk. John is survived by Gwen, his devoted wife of 45 years; son, John (Carolyn); daughters, Nancy (Tom), Debbie (Rolly), Lori (Rob) and Donna (Rob); 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; sisters Helen and Sandra; brothers George and Arthur; many nieces and nephews.
John was born in Lennard, Manitoba and moved to Powell River with his family in 1937. He worked in the lumber industries for many years. In the 1970’s he became a real estate agent and enjoyed a lengthy career in this field. He was predeceased by 3 sisters; Annie, Pat and Maria; and two brothers, Jimmy and Andy.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack, BC. Visitation for family and friends will be held before the service at 12:00 pm. A Tea to follow the service at Hazelnut Grove.
