Marian Westcott
June 26, 1924 - November 17, 2016
Marian was born in London, England. She left school at the age of 14, and worked as a telephonist until her marriage to Ernie Dobbs in 1944. After raising her children Marian had a successful career in banking. In 1983 Marian married her soul mate Ken Westcott and two years later they moved to Canada to join family. In 2007, now a widow, Marian suffered a severe stroke and spent her remaining years in care facilities and since 2008 Cheam Village, Agassiz. Marian was a true English Lady who loved people, music and dancing, she touched everyone. She leaves to mourn, her daughters Sandra and Shirley, her grandchildren, Antony, Lindsey, Kelly, Kim and Karen, her great grandchildren Alex, Nik, Jaedyn, Jotni and Kialy, also 4 great, great grandchildren. Also much loved by Marian, her son-in-law, Paul, granddaughter-in-law, Katie and nephew-in-law, Ian. Marian was predeceased by her parents, husbands Ernie Dobbs and Ken Westcott, three siblings, son-in-law Jerry and infant grandson Lee. The family cannot express enough their thanks to everyone at Cheam Village. The caring and compassion shown to Marian was incredible and will never be forgotten by any of us. A private, family cremation has been held.
