It’s that time of year again and Agassiz Elementary Secondary School will be hosting their annual basketball tournament. Seventy former Chieftain alumni and 30 former Eagle alumni have confirmed to attend the event which is scheduled to take place on Apr. 21 and 22.

Former teachers, coaches, staff and parents will be coming out to support the basketball program at AESS. The event is a welcome nod to glory days of yore and the community is welcome to attend free of charge.

“In the past the gym bleachers have been full with cheering fans,” said tournament organizer Kyle Dickey. “This year we are looking for local community members to help fill in spots on one of the teams.”

If anyone is interested in playing they can contact Dickey at kyle.dickey@sd78.bc.ca. The teams and schedule can be found on the Eagles/Chieftains Alumni Facebook page.
