The new owners of the Harrison Hot Springs Marina invite the community to celebrate.
The Sq'éwqel Development Corporation (SqDC) – the economic arm of the Seabird Island (Sq'éwqel) First Nation – invites locals to the Harrison Hot Springs Marina Celebration event on Saturday, May 17.
The festivities begin with an official opening ceremony at 11 a.m. followed by a day of fun, including food trucks, local vendors and entertainment for the whole family.

SqDC acquired the Harrison Hot Springs Marina and Harrison Grand MOtel as well as the Pine Court Apartments in Chilliwack. The company acquired the properties to generate additional income streams for the Sq'éwqel community. Back in February, they purchased the properties through own-source revenues allocated specifically for investments. The sale was due to be finalized this month.
The Harrison Hot Springs Marina is the largest marina on Harrison Lake and roughly a five-minute walk from the village core. There are 225 slips available and two acres of gated parking. A local real estate listing estimated the marina could potentially bring in $850,000 to $1 million annually. The property was sold for $5.2 million.
The Harrison Grand Motel is locate centrally along Harrison Lake's beachfront along Esplanade avenue.
The Pine Court Apartments in Chilliwack are located on Vedder Road on the south side of the city. There are 36 units in this two-storey apartment building, built in 1987.
