The Love Local Shop Local celebration joined in on the Valentine’s Day festivities this past weekend. The event featured words from local dignitaries, photos with Cupid, prizes from local businesses and a hot chocolate bar at the Agassiz-Harrison Museum.
Love Local Shop Local is a year-long initiative that began Jan. 21 to promote local businesses and encourage shopping locally. The Ministry of Innovation, Science and Industry made this initiative possible through a $40,000 grant through the Government of Canada’s Strategic Activities Program.
