The much-loved Fall Fair and Corn Festival will be in Agassiz before you know it.

This year’s festival falls on Sep. 16 and 17, and the theme is We Love Our Fraser Valley Farmers.

This year will mark Agassiz’s 118th Fall Fair and 74th Corn Festival.

Each year, the Fall Fair and Corn Festival brings a parade through the Agassiz townsite, rides and games to the fairgrounds, the famous corn and barbecued chicken dinner and much more fun for the whole family.

The Corn Festival wouldn’t be complete without the coronation of the Corn King or Queen. Nathan Hertgers was crowned Corn King for the past two years. Whether or not his corn is the cream of the crop, netting him a third crown, is anybody’s guess.
