Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus – and he’s ready for your letters!

The Agassiz-Harrison Observer is accepting letters to Santa for an upcoming Christmas edition of the paper. If you or a loved one has written a letter to Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick or drew him a picture, send a copy to us for all our readers (and staff) to enjoy, too!

The age range is from kindergarten to Grade 3.

If you send art, please have it on plain, white paper. Please do not feel the need to correct for spelling or grammar.

The letters need to be submitted by Tuesday, Dec. 20. You don’t have to send the original letter or work of art as it’s very important to get it to the North Pole at this time of year. A high-quality photo of the letter or a typed-out version sent by email will work just fine! They can be dropped off at our office (through the mail slot if we’re closed) at 7167 Pioneer Avenue in Agassiz, or you can email a photo, scan or typed version to newsroom@ahobserver.com. If you wish, you can include the child’s name, age, school and grade.

Anyone who does not celebrate Christmas is still welcome to participate. They can write or draw something else, including their favourite winter activity, their favourite traditions or a positive message.

Any questions can be forwarded to editor Adam Louis at 604-796-4302 or via email at newsroom@ahobserver.com.
