The local branch of the B.C. Thanksgiving Food Drive was a resounding success this year.
The Agassiz-Harrison Community Services Food Bank received 2,250 pounds of food from local donors during the province-wide initiative designed to fill food banks in comunities across B.C.
“Thank you to all the members of our community who donated to this food drive,” the AHCS said in a statement. “We are grateful to our volunteers who donated their time to this event. ”
While provincial totals for the food drive were not available as of press time, the goal was to gather 600,000 pounds of food across B.C.
