Students at Agassiz Christian School have been fighting bullying with kindness in support of Pink Shirt Day.

The school has turned one day against bullying into a month-long endeavour to share kindness with people in their class, school, home and community.

Some students have been acting as “kindness ninjas,” Kindergarten teacher Melanie Victor said, and performing secret acts around the school, including posting mysterious positive messages on coloured hearts throughout the halls.

These messages say things like: Just be you! You are loved! Be kind. Be connected. Love never fails.

The school has also been collecting food for Agassiz Harrison Community Services over the past two weeks, as a way to spread kindness to the community at large.
