Agassiz Secondary prepares for grad parade

Parade begins June 3 at 6:20 p.m.

It’s time once again to send another graduating class forth from the hallowed halls of Agassiz Elementary Secondary School and into the world.

But that can wait – for now, it’s time to celebrate.

AESS officials have released the parade route for the 2022 AESS Grad Parade on June 3, which will take local graduates through Agassiz, Harrison Mills, Harrison Hot Springs and the Seabird Island FIrst Nation. The route is as follows:

Start at approximately 6:20 p.m.

Depart AESS Parking Lot by onto Cheam Avenue led by RCMP

Follow RCMP down Highway 9

Turn left onto Morrow Road

Turn right onto Logan Road which becomes Elm Road.

Turn right onto Vimy Road.

Proceed to the stop sign and across Morrow Road onto Heath Road.

Turn left onto Pioneer Avenue

Turn right on Highway 9 and stay in right lane onto Highway 7 heading to Seabird Island

Turn left onto Seabird Island Road

Turn right on Chowat Road

Pass in front of Seabird Island Band Office

Turn left on Sthitsem Drive

Turn right onto Charles Drive

Turn left on Seabird Island Road

Turn right onto Highway 7 and head to Harrison Hot Springs

Turn right onto Hot Springs Road and drive to Harrison Hot Springs

Turn right onto Walnut Avenue after Harrison Elementary School

Turn right onto Miami River Drive

Turn left onto McCombs Drive which becomes Eagle Street

Turn left onto Lillooet Road and follow to the Harrison Hot Springs Resort
