Mushrooms burst forth from a tree trunk. There are dozens of varieties of wild mushrooms growing in the Pacific Northwest and within B.C. itself. From an agricultural standpoint, British Columbia is the second largest mushroom producing province in the nation, second only to Ontario. We in B.C. mainly grow white and brown varieties of button mushrooms.
