The District of Kent recently unveiled the Harrison Highlands Park playground. Its grand opening is coming soon.

The District of Kent recently revealed one of their latest recreational projects – a new playground in the Mount Woodside area.

The Harrison Highlands Park playground is part of the first of three phases of development in the new park, which is located between Agassiz and Harrison Mills near the Mount Woodside area.

Back in late 2023, district residents were invited to an open house at what would become Harrison Highlands Park, on the corner of Stromdahl Pl. and Peregrine Pl. Eight months later, the district council approved the installation of the new playground, which came to the tune of $175,000. The contract went to Burnaby-based Habitat Systems, the very same company that built a brand new accessible playground in Harrison Hot Springs, a $700,000 venture.

The Observer will post information about the official grand opening of the playground as soon as it is available.
