Do you think parking is an issue in Harrison Hot Springs? There’s a virtual meeting just for you.
The Village of Harrison Hot Springs is hosting the Parking Master Plan Preliminary Findings Virtual Open House via Zoom from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27.
The village is in the process of creating a Parking Master Plan in hopes of optimizing available space in the village and addressing the ongoing issue of adequate parking for visitors and residents alike.

The presentation that begins at 6 p.m. and repeats at 7 p.m. will highlight key findings in a parking study conducted by IBI Group. The Village Council approved a $30,000 contract to be awarded to IBI for this study back in late July. There will be a question-and-answer session between presentations.
Villagers had the opportunity to take part in an 18-question online survey that closed on Oct. 1. The survey sought feedback on current parking conditions and possible improvements.

If all continues as planned, the final report will be complete by December.
The village houses 2,566 parking spaces, 2,256 of which are on-street spots. Pay parking is in effect from May 15 to Sept. 15 in select waterfront spots in the village. Demand peaks during the weekends at around 4 p.m.
