The Agassiz Royal Canadian Legion received some extra visitors this week.

Legion branches across the B.C.-Yukon command celebrated Legion Week Oct. 10 to 16 in 40 communities, including here in Agassiz. Legion Week is a week of awareness and celebration for Royal Canadian Legions nationwide, in which branches host celebratory events and share information on how the Legion supports and honours local veterans and their families, including the RCMP and remembrance efforts. This year, the Agassiz Legion hosted an open house, free of charge.

The Royal Canadian Legion has more than 250,000 members across Canada and is the nation’s largest veteran support network. To find out more about local Legion activities and ways you can help, call the Agassiz branch at (604) 796-2332 or find them on Facebook.
