The Salvation Army had another successful Christmas Kettle campaign in Agassiz-Harrison this year.
Local Sally Ann campaign coordinator Rose Tustian reported a grand total of $2,709 raised during the 2022 campaign.
Tustian offered personal thanks to Red Apple (7116 Pioneer Avenue) for hosting the kettle in front of the store, as they have for many years now.

The amount raised surpassed the 2019 total of $2,600 but 2020 still holds the record for donations in recent years at a whopping $3,847.
A number of local and regional dignitaries participated in the campaign, including District of Kent Mayor Sylvia Pranger, Harrison Hot Springs Coun. Michie Vidal and local country artist Todd Richard.
Traditionally, there are more than 2,000 kettles used across Canada during the Christmas season charity campaign.
