Beloved patriarch of the community and Royal Canadian Legion Branch 32 member Jim Johnson was honoured at the Agassiz Legion last Wednesday at his going away party.

His contributions to Agassiz were many over the years and he will be missed by all who knew him. The lifelong teacher brought the children and adults of the community together during many occasions. Jim helped bridge the gap by bringing the Intergenerational Day Wheel Chair Walk to Agassiz and has been instrumental in many other projects that have helped bring about change while touching the lives around him.

Touching tributes were made to Jim throughout the evening by friends, family, and peers. He will be heading to Ontario with his family so they will all be closer together.
