Remembrance Day is next week.

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 32 is hosting a Remembrance Day ceremony on Nov. 11 at the Cenotaph at the corner of Vimy Road and Morrow Road. Members are to gather at the Royal Legion Hall at 1846 Agassiz-Rosedale Highway no later than 10:15 a.m. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m.

Remembrance Day ceremonies occur nationwide at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. Originally known as Armistice Day when it began in 1919, Remembrance Day commemorates the end of hostilities during World War I and all the veterans who gave their lives in defence of Canada.
