If you’re in need of snow removal this season, you can always call on the Snow Angels.

Snow Angels decals are now available for pickup for those who need help clearing snow from walkways, driveways and sidewalks.

“This program is all about neighbours helping neighbours, enhancing the sense of community, security and safety, supporting senior independence and creating opportunities for volunteerism,” the Snow Angels description reads.

The window decals should be placed on a visible location on the front window. There are laminated signs – designed to withstand the harsh winter elements – available to be placed outside the home as well.

RELATED: Snow Angels seek volunteers

When a Snow Angels volunteer sees the decal or sign, they will arrive with their snow equipment to help clear the way.

The Snow Angels Program does not make guarantees that volunteers will be available to clear the walkways, driveways or sidewalks at a specific time

The decals can be picked up at the following locations:

- Agassiz Harrison Community Services Society (7086 Cheam Avenue in Agassiz)

- District of Kent Municipal Hall (7170 Cheam Avenue, Agassiz)

- Village of Harrison Hot Springs Municipal Hall (495 Hot Springs Road, Harrison Hot Springs)

The program is always looking for volunteers. Anyone aged 16 and older can become a Snow Angel – they must also be reliable, have their own snow shovel or other equipment and their own transportation.
