Agassiz-Harrison Storytime in the Park has closed the book on another year.
As per tradition, Chilliwack-Kent MLA Kelli Paddon was the special reader for the final week, reading a story and a formal proclamation that September is Literacy Month in the Chiliwack-Kent riding.
Hundreds of kids and their families attended each Storytime in the Park, which spread across Agassiz, Harrison Hot Springs and Seabird Island. From local performers to storytellers extraordinaire, there was something for everyone to enjoy each Wednesday morning.
Following Paddon's storytime, Norden the Magician performed for the final Storytime crowd of the summer.
Storytime in the Park originated in Hope and grew in popularity to become a time-honoured tradition for little readers across Agassiz-Harrison and the surrounding communities.
