After 30 years, a local history archive is back for another printing.

Kilby Historic Site will be selling the second printing of “The People of the Harrison”, penned by local historian and author Daphne Sleigh.

Originally published in 1990, “The People of the Harrison” chronicles the history of the Harrison River and the people who live in the area from hundreds of years ago to the 1990s.

Sleigh was the first curator for the Maple Ridge Museum and has been awarded the B.C. Historical Federation’s Lieutenant-Governor’s Medal for historical writing for her book “Discovering Deroche” in 1984. Her other works include “Walter Moberly and the Northwest Passage by Rail” and “The Man Who Saved Vancouver: Major James Skitt Matthews.”

The book is available for purchase for $24.95 at the Kilby Historic Site and in other local businesses and gift shops.
