On a chilly, overcast autumn morning, a few well-distanced residents gathered at the Cenotaph at the Agassiz townsite to pay their respects to the men and women who sacrificed for Canada and the way of life enjoyed today. Agassiz Legion President Derek Stewart conducted the ceremony and Rev. Dennis Flores of the St. Anthony of Padua church offered prayers during the solemn event.
