Visitors from all over the world will be dropping into Hope next week, eager to celebrate everything Rambo.

More than 300 people are expected to arrive in Hope on Oct. 11, 12 and 13, from Japan, Europe, South America and all over the U.S., for the Rambo First Blood Weekend events being put on by Brian McKinney and the staff at the Hope Visitor Centre.

They are asking local businesses to get in on the fun by decorating their shops, offering up Rambo items, or even dressing up like Rambo for the weekend. For example, the Rolling Pin Bakery will be selling Rambo cookies for sale. Businesses who are planning something special can let the staff at the Visitor Centre know, so they can let visitors know to drop by.

In 2018, more than 15,000 people made inquiries about First Blood at the Visitor Centre.

There is an escorted walking tour that anyone can join, on Sunday, Oct 13. It begins at the Hope Visitor Centre at 10 a.m. and will stop at all the First Blood filming locations. See props and items used in the movie production, walk the same streets as Rambo, and see the buildings that were part of the backdrop for First Blood.

This a free event, and participants are welcome to dress up in Rambo costume.
