Bev Kennedy of the Agassiz-Harrison Historical Society board of directors demonstrates tongue-in-cheek how to hold a tea cup for guests at the fifth annual Dickens Tea fundraiser at Cheam Village Saturday afternoon.

Stop. It’s tea time.

In lieu of its traditional Dickens Tea, the Agassiz-Harrison Museum is hosting the “Un-Dickens Tea to Go,” one of two upcoming fundraiser events for the museum.

The Un-Dickens tea pick-up event takes place Dec. 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Orders must be placed by Nov. 28. For $30, “guests” can order tea for two, which in addition to tea consists of a box of fresh goodies: oatcakes, tarts, rum balls, shortbread, Christmas cake, oranges and a lovely tea table centerpiece; portions of the proceed will support the museum and their history-preserving efforts.
