This year’s Agassiz Canada Day celebration at Centennial Park included a special race to celebrate 40 years of the Ferny Coombe Pool Sunday morning. The mayor and city council cheered on four swimmers-each representing a decade of the pool’s existence-in the event that ran alongside other activities celebrating the nation’s birthday, including a fire escape obstacle course, a sandbox treasure hunt and a kids zone.
