First event of the season attracts many visitors despite wet weather

The annual opening event on Easter weekend brought families to Kilby Historic Site for an egg hunt, food and prizes on a rainy Sunday.

Marking the opening of the season, it’s the first of many weekends that the organization opens from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. until May 17 when it shifts to a Thursday to Monday schedule.
