WATCH: Step It Up Challenge reaches finish line

Five generations took millions of steps, but only one won

With a total of 54,009,423 steps recorded throughout the 2020 Step It Up Challenge, clearly Agassiz-Harrison came to play.

Five generations – from the Silent Generation to Generation Z – competed to see who could take the most steps. The competition closed on Feb. 28 and a winner emerged.

With a grand total of 16,086,031 steps, the Boomers came out on top, narrowly edging out Generation Z, who came in second place at 15,681,470 steps.

Third place went to Generation X with 12,727,366 with the Silent Generation at 5,182,284 steps for fourth. The Millennials rounded out the five generations with a last-place finish of 4,332,272.

The individual winners were:

Colleen Gingrich – Harrison Hot Springs Resort – one night stay and breakfast for two

Kenn Tubbs – Fraser River Lodge – One night stay with breakfast for two

Debbie Roberts – Sasquatch Inn – One night stay with a $25 gift certificate

Chelsey Holditch – Harrison Water Sports – Two water park passes

Gavin Sache – FitBit Ace 2

Teresa Turner – Yoga gift pack

Pamela Baubin – Shoreline Tours – Two waterfall cruise adult gift certificates
