Agassiz-Harrison Community Services (AHCS) has launched its inaugural Winter Bells Campaign last week starting Friday, Nov. 22.
Local realtor Freddy Marks has coordinated efforts to place blue buckets outside the Red Apple store (7116 Pioneer Avenue) in Agassiz and Black Forest restaurant (180 Esplanade Avenue) in Harrison Hot Springs, all to raise funds for AHCS, which served more than 14,000 people last year.
"With inflation and the day-to-day pressures of increasing costs, the needs in our community are greater than ever," said AHCS board chair Tom Walker. "Donations to the agency will make a significant impact on many in the District of Kent and the Village of Harrison. Services range from the Food Bank, to children’s, youth, families’ and seniors’ services."
All funds raised during the Winter Bells Campaign will say here in Agassiz-Harrison, and all donations are tax deductible. A tap option will be provided for those who wish to donate by card.
The campaign runs every Friday until Dec. 23. Donations can also be made online at www.agassiz-harrisoncs.ca or in-person at 7086 Cheam Avenue in Agassiz.
