Harrison Hot Springs Village Council hopeful Cathy Christiansen has withdrawn from the race.

On Friday, Sept. 16 – the final day candidates may withdraw – Christiansen told The Observer in an email that she has withdrawn due to family obligations.

This leaves John Buckley, incumbent Mayor Leo Facio, Leslie Ghezesan, Allan Jackson and incumbent Coun. Michie Vidal still in the race for seats on village council. Four candidates will be elected to council.

Election Day is Oct. 15. Advance voting day is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
