Get ready for another incredible night of sizzling, fast-paced humour and wit as I Am Woman! Hear Me Laff! returns to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre in celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8.

Hosted by the wild and quirky Jan Bannister, and headlined by award-winning Debra DiGiovanni, the show features a dynamic lineup of comediennes whose performances will highlight and celebrate the things that make women special, and they are nothing short of witty, wacky, and womanly.

With a background in psychiatric nursing, Bannister believes in the therapeutic power of laughter as a way for people to connect, share the ups and downs of life in an upbeat manner, and most of all, just have fun.

After being warmed up for a night of laughter, opening act Syd Bosel—silver medalist in B.C.’s 2017 Funniest Female Contest—takes to the stage with a magnificently honest commentary on parenthood and her aging body. Bosel is not only a stand-up comic, but also a family support worker, and the irony of supporting families while struggling with her own children has not escaped her.

Next up, funny woman Nic Erin Enright will treat audiences with her good-natured, no-nonsense comedic style. Originally from the United Kingdom, Enright is well-known on the Canadian comedy scene for her quick-witted observations of everyday life, particularly on marriage and motherhood.

And when DiGiovanni finally gets on stage, her sharp, yet playful and happy personality is sure to delight audiences: her humor and charm lies in her unflinching honesty and openness, and rapid-fire delivery. A four-time Canadian Comedy Award winner, and winner of Gemini Award for best-televised comedy performance, DiGiovanni was also named her hometown Toronto’s favourite comic for three years, and was a finalist on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.”

So gather your friends, mothers, sisters and even the men in your life, and join these side-busting funny ladies as they share the comical side of life in what is going to be an uproariously fun time!
