A haunting folk duo descends upon Harrison Hot Springs on April 26.
The Harrison Festival Society presents Quote The Raven, performing at Harrison's Memorial Hall (290 Esplanade Ave.)
Quote the Raven is Jordan Coaker and Kirsten Rodden-Clarke, an award-winning folk-pop duo who have been performing together since 2011. Coaker and Rodden-Clarke skilfully blend Americana with East Coast folk/country music. They have performed in intimate settings to grand festival stages throughout Canada, the United States, Germany and the UK, sharing the stage with elite acts such as The Barenaked Ladies, Graham Hash and Donovan Woods, among others.
Quote The Raven has more than 1.5 million listens on multiple streaming platforms and is the three-time winner of Music Newfoundland's Group of the Year and 2022 winner of Contemporary Roots Album of the Year Award from the East Coast Music Awards for their second album Can't Hold the Light.
Quote The Raven performs at 7:30 p.m., and doors open at 6:30 p.m. A bar and concession will be available, and the duo performs in two 45-imutne sets divided by a short intermission.
Tickets are available now at harrisonfestival.com or by contacting the Harrison Festival Society at 604-796-3664 or emailing info@harrisonfestival.com or in-person at the Ranger Station Art Gallery, located at 98 Rockwell Dr. Tickets may be available at the door.
Quote The Raven wraps up their tour of B.C. in Harrison before they take flight to Nova Scotia in October for a five-show series. In B.C., the duo performed in Kamloops, Duncan, Victoria and Vancouver before coming to Harrison.
Quote The Raven performs as part of Harrison Festival Society's Season of Performing Arts series. For more than 35 years, the Season of Performing Arts has brought a variety of performances to Harrison between September and May; there are typically eight to 10 shows per season. The April 26 show marks the eighth of this season.
