Paula Abdul has cancelled her upcoming Canadian concerts, including in Abbotsford, for 2024.

In an Instagram post dated Sept. 5, Abdul said the decision was made as a result of recent injuries she had sustained.

“After multiple consultations with my doctors and exploring all available options, I’ve been advised that one of my injuries requires a minor procedure followed by a six- to eight-week recovery time, therefore it will prohibit me from proceeding with the Straight Up! To Canada Tour as well as the dates in Alaska and North Dakota,” she posted.

In June, Abdul announced she would be performing at the  Abbotsford Centre on Sept. 27, as part of her Canada-wide tour. Other concerts in B.C. included Penticton, Victoria, Kamloops, Dawson Creek and Prince George.

Refunds for those with concert tickets will be available at point of purchase.
