Twisters Invitational Meet taking over Abbotsford's Ag-Rec Building

More than 1,400 athletes expected to compete over four-day event

Abbotsford's Twisters Gymnastics Club marks 30 years of their annual invitational meet at the Ag-Rec Building from Thursday (March 13) to Sunday (March 16).

Organizers are expecting more than 1,400 athletes from all across the province and the event is a designated trial meet for both men's and women's artistic gymnastics for the Western Canadian Championships and the Canadian National Championships.

Single-day admission is $17 for adults and $9 for children and seniors. There also have four-day and family rates available (payable by cash or card).

Fans can also participate in raffle draws and 50/50, with proceeds helping local athletes.

Twisters is considered one of the elite gymnastics club in the province and has been around for close to 50 years. Twisters is also the home to Canadian Olympian gymnasts Richard Ikeda, Ken Ikeda and 2024 Paris Olympian Zachary Clay.
