The organizer of a March 22 protest is planning a second on at the Tesla dealership on Saturday, March 29.
"Given Trump's recent announcement on imposing a 25 per cent tariff on imported automobiles and car parts it is more important than ever to push back," said organizer Pat McCutcheon. "A Tesla Takedown event is being held again outside the Tesla dealership on the Langley Bypass tomorrow between 1 and 3 p.m."
About two dozen people attended the March 22 event at 19505 Langley Bypass.
Before that event, McCutcheon commented that "It's really unfortunate that Elon Musk has gone off the rails here, because I love the product, but, you know, he's unfortunately corrupting democracy, and that's an even bigger issue."
He said this is a peaceful, non-destructive protest and urged people not to target Tesla owners, many of whom purchased vehicles in years past before the current political turmoil.
"Stand up for democracy. Stand up for Canada," he said.
